Monitoring Dynamic Image Logs: Ensuring Correct Display of Generated Images

Updated yesterday

At Abyssale, we understand the importance of verifying the proper display of your dynamically generated images. To help you with this, we provide access to logs that allow you to track the status and details of each dynamic image. Here's how you can view and analyze the logs.

Access Dynamic Image Logs

  1. Go to your project dashboard.

  2. Select the design where the dynamic image url is created.

  3. In the left menu, click Dynamic Image URL.

  4. Click on the three small dots (options menu) located to the top right of the dynamic image analytics.

  5. In the drop-down menu, select "View Logs."

Filter Logs by Status and/or Date

Within the logs view, you can filter the logs based on the status of the dynamic images:

  • Status: You can filter logs based on two statuses:

    • "Success" (image displayed without issues)

    • "Failure" (image not displayed due to an error).

Read the Error Report of a Dynamic Image:

Within the dynamic image report, you will find various information related to its generation and any encountered errors.

  1. In the first part, is included the URL of the dynamic image used (including modified parameters)

  2. Then, the cause of the error (if applicable)

  3. Then, various information :

    • Date and time

    • error codes (if applicable)

    • Format used

    • Visual UUID

  4. Then, specific details of any parameter causing an error.

Note : In case of an error, such as the example provided where the payload (text) of the text_name layer was too long, we offer three potential solutions:

  • Reduce the number of characters in the payload.

  • Enable auto-resize on the layer, which will automatically adjust the font size if the text exceeds the container's dimensions.

  • Resize the container to accommodate the text appropriately.
