When creating multi-format designs in Abyssale, you might want some elements like colors, text, or branding, to stay perfectly consistent across all versions (e.g., square, vertical, leaderboard).
That’s exactly what Synchronize Style does.
This feature determines whether your edits in one format automatically propagate to all other formats in the same design. It helps you work faster while maintaining brand consistency across every asset.
Info : By default, Synchronize Style is disabled, giving you full independence to customize each format separately.
Important Note: Synchronization Only Applies After Enabling
When you activate Synchronize Style, the synchronization starts from that moment onward.
It does not retroactively sync previous edits made before activation.
Only new changes (made after the toggle is enabled) will propagate across formats.
If you disable it later, synchronization stops immediately, future edits will only affect the current format.
This ensures that you keep full control over what gets synchronized and when.
Where to Find the Synchronize Style Toggle
You can access Synchronize Style in two different areas of the Design Editor:
In the Left Panel
Open your design in the Design Editor.
On the left-hand side, locate the Format Manager.
Just below the Format Manager (and right above the Layer Manager), you’ll find the Synchronize Style toggle.
Click the toggle to enable or disable synchronization.
From the Top Toolbar
Click the “A” icon in the top-left corner of the Design Editor.
From the dropdown menu, go to Advanced features → Synchronize Style.
This path is especially useful if your left panel is collapsed or hidden.
How It Works
When enabled, the system synchronizes your style-related edits across all formats. This includes:
Text edits (content updates, capitalization, line breaks, etc.)
Color changes (for text, shapes, or buttons)
Font settings (font family, weight, letter spacing, etc.)
Layer visibility (show/hide layer)
Effects or decorations (text shadow, shape color, etc.)
However, some properties are not synchronized between formats:
Layer position: Each format maintains its own layout positioning.
Layer dimensions: Width and height are format-specific to preserve the design’s visual balance.
Info : When disabled, every edit applies only to the current format. This is useful when each format needs tailored messaging or visuals.
Why Synchronization Matters
When working on multiple formats, you’re essentially managing several versions of the same creative. Without synchronization, you’d have to manually replicate every edit, a process prone to inconsistencies and wasted time.
With Synchronize Style, you can:
Update campaign copy once and have it reflected everywhere.
Keep all your brand assets perfectly aligned across dozens of sizes.
Save time and reduce the risk of small mistakes (like mismatched colors or typos).
When to Use It
✅ Enable Synchronize Style When:
You want identical visual identity across all formats.
You’re producing standardized brand campaigns (e.g., same content, only layout differs).
You’re still iterating on your main design and want all variations to update automatically.
🚫 Disable Synchronize Style When:
You’re adapting the same concept for different platforms (e.g., story vs. display ad).
You need to localize content (different format per language or region).
You’re adjusting creative composition, such as repositioning text or swapping visuals per format.
Practical Example
Let’s say you have a campaign with 3 formats:
Square (1080x1080)
Leaderboard (728x90)
Vertical (1080x1920)
If Synchronize Style is enabled:
Changing your headline text or button color in one format will instantly apply to the others.
All your brand fonts and color palettes stay consistent, no matter the format.
If disabled:
You can tweak your text for readability in the leaderboard without affecting the square version.
You might use shorter copy or larger call-to-action text for mobile-focused formats.
Pro Tips
💡 Plan your workflow.
If you know you’ll want all formats aligned, enable Synchronize Style early in your design process to avoid redoing edits later.
💡 Switch dynamically.
You can toggle synchronization on and off at any time, for example, to make batch updates and then fine-tune formats individually.
