When creating designs in Abyssale, you can customize how layers appear and behave in the Quick generation method (form). This gives you control over what end users (your teammates or customers) can modify when generating variation of a design.

Accessing Layer Configuration Settings

To configure how your layers behave in forms:

  1. Open your design

  2. Click on "Settings" in the left menu

  3. Navigate to the "Layers Configuration" section

  4. Make your desired changes

  5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your configurations

Layer Configuration Features

Configure how your design layers behave in generation forms with these powerful options. Each setting gives you precise control over what your end users can modify, helping you balance flexibility with brand consistency.

Layer Accessibility

Control whether layers appear in the generation form:

  • Disable layers to prevent them from appearing in the form

  • Disabled layers will still be generated but cannot be modified by end users

Customizing Layer Labels

You can rename how layers appear in the generation form to provide clearer instructions:

  • Instead of technical layer names like "text_title", use descriptive names like "Write your title on this input"

  • This helps provide context and makes the form more user-friendly for teammates or customers

Text Decoration Controls

For text and button layers, you can disable decoration options:

  • When enabled, users can change the text content but not styling elements like font, size, or color

  • This helps maintain design consistency while allowing content changes

Layer Visibility Options

You can configure whether layers can be hidden:

  • Enable "Hide Layer" to allow users to toggle layer visibility during generation

  • This gives users flexibility to include or exclude certain elements as needed

Predefined Content Options

Important : When using predefined content, the first option in your list will automatically be selected in the form, overriding the default value in your design

Limit available options for specific layer types:

Images

  • Add up to 10 predefined images for logo & image layers

  • Users will only be able to select from these options

Text

  • Define up to 10 text variations for text & button layers

  • Drag and drop text options to organize the list in your preferred order

  • Users can only choose from your preset text options

Colors

  • Specify up to 10 color options for buttons and shapes

  • Choose between two methods for setting color options:

    • Apply brand presets: Select colors from your saved brand presets to automatically populate color choices

    • Custom colors: Define specific custom colors for this layer

  • Users will be limited to selecting from your defined color palette

These settings help maintain brand consistency while still allowing controlled customization

By thoughtfully configuring your layer settings, you can create user-friendly generation forms that balance flexibility with design integrity.
