Streamline your multilingual content creation with Abyssale's AI Translation feature. This powerful tool allows you to automatically translate your text content while maintaining its context and meaning. Currently available in the Spreadsheet generation method, you can quickly translate your content into more than 50 languages, making it easier than ever to reach a global audience.
Note : AI Translation is available in the Spreadsheet generation method, so from the Pro plan. It is free: translating does not use any AI credits. You can select up to 10 target languages per operation.
Use AI Translation in the Spreadsheet
Info: When using AI Translation, you can choose to replace the selected text with the translation or create a new row with the translation while keeping the original. Simply toggle the "Duplicate" option in the modal to select your preferred behavior.
Select your text content in the spreadsheet:
A single cell
A text column
A row
Make sure the selected cells contain your own text. Cells that only show the design's default text (grey placeholder) are ignored, with the message "No text has been selected (placeholder text will not be considered)".
Click "AI Actions" in the toolbar. The first time, a short tutorial opens: click Okay! Let's get started.
Search a language and tick it. Repeat for each target language (up to 10 per action).
Leave Duplicate rows & add translations on to add one new row per language and keep the original, or turn it off to replace the selected text.
Click "Make it" to translate. The button shows "Translating…" until the new rows appear.
Static and animated designs
Translation works the same way on the spreadsheet of a static design and of an animated design, so your MP4, GIF and HTML5 outputs can be translated too.
Brand names and terms you don't want translated
There is no glossary or "do not translate" list. In our tests, brand names are usually kept as they are (for example "Back to school with Kube" becomes "Zurück in die Schule mit Kube" in German), but always review the translated rows. If a term was changed, edit the cell directly, or put the term in its own text layer and leave that column out of the selection you translate.
Tip: Ask a native speaker to review the translated rows before generating a whole campaign.

Abyssale's AI Translation supports a wide range of writing systems, allowing you to translate content across diverse languages and scripts. For layout tips (right-to-left alignment, fonts), read Design for right-to-left and non-Latin languages. AI Translation handles text in the following alphabets and writing systems:
Latin alphabet (used by most European and many African languages)

Language column & file naming
When you translate a row using the AI Translation feature, Abyssale automatically fills the Language column with the corresponding translated language. This value is then available as a variable for your naming scheme when exporting your files.
