For security, legal, and collaboration reasons, Abyssale accounts are strictly personal.
Each user login is tied to a unique identity within your workspace, ensuring secure access, transparent activity tracking, and compliance with our Terms of Service.
Sharing login credentials between multiple people is not allowed and may lead to session interruptions or access restrictions.
Why this policy exists
Abyssale is a collaborative platform built around individual accountability.
Many core features rely on identifying who performed an action, such as:
Comments & approvals
Design edits & version history
Audit trails & activity logs
If several people use the same credentials, Abyssale cannot reliably attribute these actions. This creates confusion during project reviews, weakens data integrity, and exposes your organization to unnecessary risks.
From a security perspective, shared credentials also increase the likelihood of:
Unauthorized access
Data loss or overwriting
Breach of confidentiality obligations
For these reasons, account sharing is both technically restricted and explicitly prohibited by our Terms of Service, as is standard practice across professional SaaS tools.
How Abyssale enforces this rule
When the platform detects multiple active sessions under the same credentials, it will automatically display a “Too many active sessions” message.
In this case:
The most recent login attempt can choose to log out other sessions, or
The previous session remains active, and the new one is denied access.
This mechanism prevents concurrent use of a single account, protecting your workspace’s integrity and ensuring compliance.
Best practices for teams
To collaborate effectively and securely:
Create one account per team member.
Manage seats and roles directly from Settings → Team & Billing.
Never share your password, even temporarily.
Each user’s actions, comments, and approvals will then be correctly attributed, ensuring accountability and preserving your audit history.
In summary
Account sharing might seem convenient, but it undermines the very principles of security, traceability, and professional collaboration.
Abyssale’s session limit and login policy exist to protect your organization and maintain compliance with best-in-class SaaS standards.
