Easing defines how an animation progresses over time. Instead of moving at a constant speed, easing curves add natural acceleration and deceleration to your animated layers.
This makes transitions feel more realistic, fluid, and visually appealing compared to linear movement.
Important : Easing are only available on Scale and Slide animation effect
Standard Easing Types
Abyssale provides several commonly used easing options:
Linear – Constant speed from start to finish.
Ease In – Starts slowly, then accelerates.
Ease Out – Starts quickly, then slows down toward the end.
Ease In-Out – Combines both behaviors: slow start, fast middle, slow end.
And more
These presets are great for most use cases where you need smooth, simple motion.
How to Use Easing in the Design Editor
Using Easing presets is quick and easy.
Select a Layer: While creating or editing an animated design, select the layer you want to animate.
Add an Animation: In the right-hand panel, add a Slide or Scale animation.
Choose Your Easing: Between the two keyframes in the right panel, select an easing option from the list to apply it to your animation.
Custom Easing Curves
For advanced control over your animations, you can create your own easing curves. This allows you to define a specific motion path that aligns perfectly with your brand's unique style.
Where to create them: Custom easing can only be added from the Creative Hub.
How to use them: Once created, your custom easing options will appear in the Design Editor for you to apply to your animations.
Example: A subtle bounce effect can be achieved by creating a custom easing curve that slightly overshoots its final position before settling.
