Abyssale's file export compression settings allow you to control the quality and size of your generated visuals. This is important for ensuring your visuals and other creative assets meet the specific file size requirements of your platforms, like ad networks or websites.
How to Access Compression Settings
You can find the compression settings on the Design Overview page for each of your designs. These settings must be configured and saved before you generate your visual.
Follow these steps to access them:
β
From your Abyssale workspace, select the design you want to work with.
On the left-hand menu, click on the Settings tab.
Scroll down to the File export compression settings section to view the quality slider.
Understanding the Compression Slider
The compression slider offers a range of presets, each balancing file size and visual quality differently. Moving the slider to the left increases compression, resulting in a smaller file size but a potential loss in quality. Moving it to the right decreases compression, preserving quality at the cost of a larger file size.
β
Here is what each compression level means:
Maximum (Pixelated): Applies the highest level of compression to achieve the smallest possible file size. This will likely result in a noticeable loss of visual quality, with some pixelation or artifacts.
High (Weight > Quality): This option prioritizes visual quality over file size. It applies minimal compression to keep your visual looking sharp and crisp, which may result in a larger file.
Medium (Lighter files): This is a balanced option that applies a moderate level of compression. It provides a good middle ground, producing a file that is lighter than a high-quality export but still maintains good visual integrity.
Low (Optimized): A recommended setting that provides a great balance between file size and quality. It applies just enough compression to create an optimized, lightweight file without significantly compromising the visual appearance.
Very Low (Unaltered): Applies no compression at all. The exported visual will be in its raw, unaltered state, resulting in the highest possible quality and the largest file size.
Note : As you can see, by default, the compression is set to Very Low. We applies a minimal compression of 5-10% to slightly optimize the file size without any noticeable change in visual quality. You can use the slider to adjust this setting and find the perfect balance between file size and visual quality for your needs.
Important: Set Your Settings First!
It's critical to set your compression settings correctly before you generate any visuals. The settings are locked in at the moment of generation.
If you change the compression settings after a visual has been generated, this change will not affect the previously generated visual. When you export an older visual, it will still use the old settings. To apply new settings, you must generate the visual again.
