Distribute layers evenly across your design canvas to create perfectly balanced layouts. This powerful feature allows you to arrange multiple selected layers with consistent spacing, either horizontally or vertically.

How to Distribute Layers

  1. Select multiple layers you want to distribute by:
    - Holding `Shift` and clicking each layer
    - Dragging a selection box around the layers

  2. With the layers selected, click the "..." three little dot in the Layout section in the right panel (property panel)

  3. Choose from the list, Horizontal or Vertical spacing

  4. The selected layers will automatically be spaced evenly between the leftmost and rightmost layers

Notes :

  • You need to select at least two layers to use the distribute feature

  • The distribution is based on the current position of the outermost layers in your selection

  • This feature works with any type of layer (text, images, shapes, or groups)

  • Distribution does not change the size of your layers, only their position

Tips for Effective Layer Distribution

  • Use distribution in combination with alignment tools for precise layouts

  • Distribute layers before applying Auto Layout for more controlled spacing

  • When working with mixed layer types, consider their varying sizes for optimal distribution

  • For perfect symmetry, distribute an odd number of layers

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while distributing layers:

  • Ensure you have selected at least two layers

  • Check that your layers aren't constrained by groups or Auto Layout

  • Verify that there's enough space between the outermost layers for distribution
